Easy to Moderate Hikes
Sedona Airport Scenic Lookout
538 Airport Road, Sedona, AZ 86336
Way way back in the height of covid, we came to Sedona for Thanksgiving in 2020. This was the first hike we did (while looking for a vortex) and it is still a favorite spot for us.
The Sedona Airport Scenic Overlook offers panoramic views of the city's iconic red rock formations. It's a popular spot, especially during sunrise and sunset, providing breathtaking vistas that are perfect for photography or simply soaking in the natural beauty. A parking fee of $3 is required, and the lot can fill up quickly during peak times, so plan accordingly.
Airport Loop Trail
538 Airport Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336
3.2-mile loop that offers 360-degree views of Sedona's red rocks. The trail is moderately challenging due to some rocky sections but is really beautiful. Start across the road from the scenic lookout parking area, where the trail sign is posted.
Devil's Bridge Hike
Mescal Trailhead: Long Canyon Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336
2-5 mile round trip hike depending on which trailhead you start at. Ranked as one of the best hikes in the USA, Devil's Bridge in Sedona is a must-do. The trail can be crowded, but Dry Creek Vista and Mescal Trailheads are easier to park at. Devil's Bridge, the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area, is doable by most folks, with only some steep stairs at the end.
Fay Canyon Trail
Fay Canyon Trail: Sedona, AZ 86336
2.4-mile round-trip hike that is relatively flat and leads to a natural arch. The trail offers beautiful canyon views and is suitable for most hikers.

3.6-mile trail that offers stunning views of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. The pathway is wide and well-marked and accessible for most fitness levels. It's a popular spot, so consider visiting early.
Doe Mountain Trail
Boynton Pass Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336
1.5-mile round-trip trail leads to a flat mesa with panoramic views of the surrounding red rocks. The ascent is moderately steep but short, and the expansive views from the top are worth it. This is a shared lot for the Doe Mountain and Bear Mountain trails.
West Fork Trail
Call of the Canyon Picnic Area: 4825 N. State Route 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336
6.5-mile round-trip trail in Oak Creek Canyon that is considered one of the most scenic hikes in Sedona. The path is relatively flat, crossing the creek multiple times, and is suitable for families.
